RLF delivered design for this mission-critical, highly complex hangar amidst the challenges of a global pandemic.

Description

RLF provided planning and design for this nine-bay aircraft maintenance hangar, an operation support facility, hangar annex and parking garage. The hangar includes four distinct areas: hangar bay, maintenance area, operations and administration, and a secure controlled area. The design team worked through complex critical requirements as the F-35 mission was continuing to evolve. Highly secure spaces were required, including three radio frequency-shielded rooms that were added to the scope at the 100% design submittal. The sound transmission requirements were unique for a hangar and required consultant collaboration to arrive at a timely design delivery that met user needs.
