The interiors of the five-story tower addition at Celebration Health transition seamlessly from new to existing and embody the AdventHealth (formerly Florida Hospital) mission to treat the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. Using life-affirming elements of nature, a soothing color palette, and natural materials, the tower’s interiors offer a relaxing atmosphere that helps patients feel more comfortable and at ease with their medical care.

Patient rooms are designed with large outward-facing windows and incorporate innovative solutions that are visually inviting and less clinical looking – garage doors in the footwall conceal bariatric ceiling lift systems, motorized window treatments with patient bed controls, hidden personal protection equipment cabinets recess at the patient room entry, and headwalls highlighted by vivid images of nature draw attention away from nearby equipment. Special attention is given to technology, safety, and the patient experience, such as sinks that internally glow as a subtle reminder to staff to wash their hands and timed light sensors that come on gradually creating a restful environment.

The hospital’s relaxing atmosphere is not reserved for patients alone, with dedicated staff and family respite spaces that provide opportunities to revitalize and regenerate. Staff lounges are furnished with sleepers and family rooms feature modern furnishings and soothing finishes. Solutions emphasize natural light and outdoor views of water, gardens, and courtyards, all combining to help patients feel more comfortable with their medical care and allow caregivers a balanced work environment with more resources and less stress.
