Architect Steve Langston is RLF’s Director of Design responsible for the overall quality, direction and integration of design. Steve balances the functional needs of a building with the emotional wants of a space to create architecture that inspires and enriches the lives of the people who inhabit it. Steve is Board Certified by the American College of Architects and has earned the Evidence-Based Design accreditation and certification by The Center for Health Design.

Area of Expertise: Educational Facility Design and Planning
Architect, Chris Whitney, AIA, leads the firm’s higher education practice. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Chris’ design philosophy centers around the idea that academic buildings are essential tools which engage students, administrators and alumni. Chris is actively involved in the Society of College and University Planners and has been invited to lecture on design and planning across the United States and Canada.

Area of Expertise: Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Architect Keith Holloway, has been a driving force in the development of RLF’s technology practices and has been a leader in implementing a multi-disciplinary BIM strategy firm-wide. Keith is a member of the National Institute of Building Sciences buildingSmart Alliance™ and has presented at AutoDesk University, EcoBuild, AIA NTAP and other organizations for the advancement of BIM.

David Fishel, PE, LEED AP

Area of Expertise: Energy Analysis and Modeling
David Fishel is the Senior Energy Analyst at RLF. David integrates energy efficient systems with our architectural and engineering designs. Both conservation and generation measures are considered and renewables are implemented whenever feasible. Detailed analysis ensures that each plan is life- cycle cost effective and environmentally friendly. David also tracks available federal, state and utility rebates or incentives available for each project.
