AIA Awards Two RLF Professionals at Orlando Chapter Banquet

This weekend’s AIA Design Awards Banquet brought new accolades for two professionals at RLF.

Bob Yohe, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP was awarded the Nils M. Schweizer Community Service Award, which is given to those who, in a volunteer capacity, have made significant contributions to their community.Bob has participated in open debate and exploration of alternative ideas that have been necessary to lead the City of Maitland on a path of community evolution that may not have otherwise developed. Bob has been able to bring his professional expertise in planning and design, as well as sustainable design to elected community leaders. Bob was also recognized in 2004 by the City of Maitland as Volunteer of the Year.

Rebecca Talbert, AIA, LEED AP won the 2009 Fred H. Pryor Award. This award is given to a young architect who consistently demonstrates excellence and exceptional promise, leadership qualities, plays a role in a team atmosphere, has special abilities, and is known for community involvement. Rebecca has consistently been involved in AIA, local preservation and environmental projects, mentoring, Habitat for Humanity, Canstruction, Center for Drug Free Living, NCARB development program, the RLF Green Team, and finally an adjunct professor for Valencia.
