FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | DATE: May 03, 2007

Winter Park, Fla. – There is a rising trend among the top earning interior design firms in the United States – healthcare. Because of the growing need for healthcare providers to create therapeutic, “healing” environments, profits from medical-related interior design jobs grew from 7.6 percent to 12 percent over the past two years. In light of this expanding market, Interior Design magazine recently issued its first ever “Top 40 Healthcare Design Firms” list. Among the top earners, only one firm is located in the state of Florida – RLF.

With $25 million of work installed, RLF – an architecture, engineering and interior design firm located in Winter Park, Fla. – earned more than $1.25 million in fees from healthcare projects last year. Included on the list along with RLF were the likes of industry giant HDR, Inc., with more than 120 office locations nationally.

A single-office organization, RLF has earned $5 million from more than 70 healthcare projects in the last five years. During the planning process of each project, RLF designers and medical planners work directly with healthcare administrators, physicians and staff to determine specific needs. Based on project requirements, RLF designers incorporate color, texture, light and natural environments to create caring, healing environments that exceed expectations.
