RLF Gathers 2,000 Pounds of Citrus For Those In Need
Volunteers from RLF recently participated in the Society of St. Andrew’s Gleaning Network. Who, joined by 18 Winter Park High School students, gleaned 2,000 pounds of citrus, which would have otherwise gone to waste. All of the oranges were distributed by the Society of St. Andrew to local food kitchens and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
Each year, 40,000 volunteers glean with the Society of St. Andrew and pick more than 15 million pounds of fresh, nutritious food for the less fortunate in our community.
