RLF Projects Awarded by Southeast Construction Magazine
Winter Park, Fla. – RLF, a leading Winter Park-based architecture, engineering and interior design firm, recently received two Awards of Excellence in the Best of 2009 competition held by Southeast Construction Magazine.
With nearly 200 submissions, RLF earned an Award of Excellence in the ‘Office’ category for the firm’s office renovation at 145 Lincoln, Winter Park. The project was recognized for its use of a variety of materials, new technologies, and sustainable features, creating a cohesive design that fits seamlessly within its natural environment.
RLF also received an Award of Excellence in the ‘Worship’ category for the new All Souls Catholic Church – a 23,000 sf house of worship located on 63 acres in Sanford, Florida. The church is designed using the Spanish Mission style architecture and is intended to emulate the Old World charm of historic European cathedrals. Featuring heavy wooden timbers, stucco finishes, veneer plaster walls, marble finishes and a red clay tile roof, judges recognized the detailed architectural components and quality craftsmanship evident in the design and construction of this facility.
The annual ‘Best Of’ competition honors construction and design excellence in the four-state region of Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina. All winning projects will be featured in the December 2009 issue of the magazine and will be honored at a luncheon to be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in December.
