RLF Volunteer Project Helps Grandma’s House
On January 28, Grandma’s House – an intergenerational program at Orlando Health and Rehabilitation Center where adults and children with various disabilities live together in a home-like environment – held a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil their new gazebo donated by RLF employees.
More than a dozen staff members from RLF – a leading Winter Park-based architecture, engineering and interior design firm – donated their time to build a new gazebo for the residents at Grandma’s House. The firm purchased all gazebo materials and worked together to create a new outdoor space for residents to enjoy throughout the year.
“At RLF, we embrace volunteerism. I’m proud to say that we contributed ‘time, treasure and talent’ to Grandma’s House this holiday season,” said Steve Hingtgen, president of RLF. “We want to go far beyond just writing a check for those in need, we want to truly engage and help make their dreams come true. I think we’ve made a difference in the lives of Grandma’s House residents today.”
Julie Cole, Director of Development of Grandma’s House, said “This gazebo has transformed our grounds. Thanks to RLF, we have a wonderful centerpiece where our residents can enjoy the outdoors and each other.”
